Euro Tile & Stone is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. Be a part of our team in our Ottawa location.
What You will Be Doing
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that our clients are well served when they pick up their orders and when orders are sent out for delivery. The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Order Desk Manager and is responsible for ensuring all client orders are prepared and ready for pick and delivery in a timely manner. The Logistics Coordinator is a part of the Shipping Desk team to achieve the same goals and works closely with many different departments of the business.
Roles & responsibilities:
- To provide exceptional customer service.
- Monitor and manage client wait times at the Shipping area and prioritize orders to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations and pickup time requests.
- Coordinate and ensure all client orders are ready for pick up; initial point of contact at Shipping Window for client orders which have already been placed.
- Coordinate and ensure all deliveries are ready to be sent out on our delivery trucks; assist the Shipping Coordinator.
- Assigns an order picker to prepare the client order and follows up to ensure it is done in a timely fashion.
- Receive and respond to inquiries from clients by phone or email and providing updates on the status of their order.
- Receive and respond to inquiries from internal Showroom Consultant and Sales team by phone and email and providing updates on the status of client orders.
- Process completed orders in inventory control system.
- Process all returns by; ensuring all product returns (from client or internal) are clearly identified with paperwork stating the tile name and warehouse location; confirming that the return can be put away; ensuring product does not pile up and returns are done immediately including identifying any loose product in the warehouse – either put back to stock or label. Works with their supervisor if there are any issues.
- Ensure work area is properly cleaned at all times by:
- Ensuring the pickup areas are clean and orderly (indoors and outdoors).
- Adheres to all Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
What You Bring to the Role
- Minimum completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' prior experience in a fast paced customer service role
- A minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in a shipping role is a strong asset
- Strong client service orientation and possess a positive and “can do” attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot problems and issues;
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to multi-task and thrive in a diverse and high volume work day
- Ability to communicate proactively and clearly in person, over the phone and by email
- May be required to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Positive, friendly, and courteous
- Able to use technology (ERP, Microsoft Office). We’ll train you on our systems in your first week.
- Ability to communicate in French would be considered an asset
