Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Speech and Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing functions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing safety.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and exercises to support ongoing improvement.
- Participate in case management activities, including discharge planning and resource coordination for optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) from the appropriate licensing board or authority.
- Prior experience working in hospital settings or acute care environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in pediatrics.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare documentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while providing compassionate patient care.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients, families, and team members effectively.
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech therapy techniques and case management processes.
