Overview
We are seeking a dedicated residential construction assistant to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, gain valuable hands-on experience, and contribute to high quality home renovations. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. 2 plus years of construction experience is required. Painting, drywall mudding, tile work/flooring and finish carpentry experience are huge assets.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and tools
- Perform general labor tasks such as demolition, lifting, and moving materials as directed by supervisors
- Operate both hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
- Work on every step of a renovation from start to finish eg demolition, to painting
- Able to get yourself to different job sites everyday and on time
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different construction environments
- Being experienced in Painting, Drywall mudding, tile setting/flooring or trim work is mandatory
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license is mandatory
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings
