Job Summary
Freshii Tsawwassen is seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting food preparation and sanitation efforts. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food industry environment, ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with strong math and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining quality standards
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station and dining area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food handling and serving duties during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to assist customers effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Food industry experience or kitchen background is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to handle food safely and responsibly while maintaining hygiene standards

Pay: $17.85-$27.42 per hour
