Social Media Coordinator – Marketing and Creative Branding

Job Overview:
Development and implementation of marketing strategies using Facebook and other social media platforms to build brand awareness and contribute to achieving social media growth objectives in both the music and education industry. Manage our consumer facing platforms to maximize engagement with the perspective online communities and help build awareness of the brands.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Essential Functions:
· Design and prepare content for social media campaigns, posts and stories, and ads
· Create engaging text, image and video content using Camtasia and other image/video editing software
· Manage promotional materials and campaigns on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and YouTube)
· Ensure all marketing material is consistent with the brand
· Stay up to date with social media platform changes
· Build a library of ready to use social media content and identify digital marketing opportunities
Non-essential Functions:
· Complete any new marketing initiatives that may spontaneously arise
· Preform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
· Education in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
· Experience with digital marketing, content management and social media
· Experience with Camtasia software suite
· Experience with editing video and image content
Skills and Abilities:
· Expertise in social media marketing and content strategy relating to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads and YouTube
· In-depth knowledge of platform best practices for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
· Ability to create in depth marketing plans that are strategic and creative
· Knowledgeable in understanding social media algorithms
· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work independently and on a team
· Knowledgeable of other video editing and content creating software such as Adobe, Corel, Canva (asset)
· Experience with SEO marketing (asset)
