Head Chef for Restaurant Operation - $62,000US Tax Free for the Cayman Islands

This is a great international restaurant culinary career opportunity in the Cayman Islands Caribbean
An established-up market Fine Dining Restaurant in the Cayman Islands is searching for a Restaurant Head Chef to lead its multi-cultural kitchen brigade and management team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be totally hands-on, high energy and creative Professional Chef with a solid culinary background, proven leadership skills and the passion for international flavours, quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Offering a culinary wow factor to local and international guests all over the world
- Preparation of menu items including desserts
- Expedite, execute and/or assist on the line during service
- Ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are upheld
- Implement ongoing training and teaching of the kitchen brigade
- Maintain inventory of items with a focus on budgeting, cost analysis and planning
- Maintain a positive environment to encourage growth and diversity within the workplace
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of current restaurant culinary trends in seafood and international Cuisine
- Must have hands on experience in a major city trend setting restaurants
- Post secondary degree in Culinary Arts or industry equivalent experience with at least 3 years experience working as Head Chef in a quality trend-setting restaurant
- Solid understanding of menu planning complete with cost analysis, portioning and plate presentation.
- Full knowledge of inventory control measures with the ability to develop and execute.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and lead your small kitchen team
- Fully functional on computer with a full knowledge menu costing and recipe conversation
- Can work 6 days a week
- Can commence this position upon obtaining visa approval in 45 to 60 days
Compensation: This position offers and excellent salary of between USD $62,000 to net tax free, annual vacation and benefits. Please note: You will be responsible for your own accommodation
