Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative supports the Sales function by managing daily customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and generating new business opportunities through both inbound and outbound engagement. The role builds and maintains strong customer relationships, escalates issues as needed during sales activities, and collaborates closely with Client Service, Operations, Finance, and Account Executives to ensure a smooth customer experience. It also contributes to sales reporting, presentations, market intelligence, and marketing initiatives. This is a non‑managerial role that strengthens MEDLOG’s commercial effectiveness and customer‑centric approach.
Key Accountabilities
- Proactively follow up on customers enquiries while providing ad-hoc support and follow-up on/respond to sales leads if/when human intervention is required.
- Act as escalation point on billing and booking issues while the Account Executives are on sales visits, ensuring to provide feedback to Account Executives.
- Promptly provide quotations to new and existing customers, ensuring the rate inbox is up to date with only daily enquiries.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers.
- Liaise with client service, operations, and finance departments to provide our customers with excellent customer experience.
- Promptly responding to inbound emails, messages, and phone calls from potential customers.
- Making daily outbound phone calls (cold calls) to build relationships and generate new leads.
- Developing leads to transfer to the Account Executives.
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of MEDLOG’s service offerings.
- Collaborating with the field sales colleagues to develop innovative strategies to improve sales results.
- Meeting and /or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
- Ability to identify qualifying sales opportunities.
- Build and remain current on market intelligence from customers and relay information to sales and trade.
- Support to the Sales and Marketing Coordinator
- Responsible for Sales reporting
- Create and maintain Sales Presentations in support of customer QBR’s and internal meetings
- Marketing tasks including social media posts, merchandise management, and events.
Qualifications and Competencies

- 1-2 years of work experience in a shipping or Logistics company within selling/negotiating and customer service is an added advantage.
- Desire to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

- Ability to access, retrieve, format data using various business systems and produce standard/nonstandard reports.
