We are seeking a dedicated Middle & High School English Teacher to join our English Department, helping students develop strong communication, literacy, and critical thinking skills in a faith-centered learning environment.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate educator who embraces Christian education, fosters academic excellence, and engages students in literature, writing, and discussion. The ideal candidate will be committed to multi-grade teaching, collaboration, and nurturing a positive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities
· Teach Middle and High School English, with appropriate planning and preparation.
· Encourage students to think critically and develop strong literacy skills.
· Provide a structured and supportive learning environment.
· Maintain accurate records and update learning objectives/targets as needed.
· Offer enrichment blocks and after-school enhancement sessions.
· Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
· Function as part of the middle school team, embracing team teaching and collaboration.
· Participate in extracurricular activities, including athletics and arts.
· Support multi-age learning benefits through collaboration with fellow educators.
· Teach additional courses based on qualifications and expertise (history, Christian studies, electives).
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor's degree.
· Education degree or willingness to pursue additional training.
· Passion for teaching Middle/High School English, history, and/or Christian studies.
· Commitment to sharing and living out Christian faith.
Assets (Preferred):
· Previous experience working with middle/high school students.
· Team teaching experience. (Be sure to highlight these assets in your application!)
Pay: $32,000.00-$34,000.00 per year
