Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality & Distribution Manager, and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, this position will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services. The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, develop solutions, and implement best practices to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality assurance plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

Coordinate with the Quality Assurance Inspectors to implement the designed quality control plans.

Investigates and implement Corrective & Preventative actions for customer complaints regarding quality, both for internal and externals customers.

Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and quality records.

Confers with Engineers about quality assurance of new products designed.

Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical development in the industry.

Collaborate with vendors to establish quality requirements, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Ensure data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities is reviewed to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.

Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods of analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.

Maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality trends, measure performance, and report findings to management.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and product development, to drive quality improvement initiatives and resolve quality-related issues.

Provide training and guidance to team members on quality assurance processes, tools, and methodologies.

Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and alignment with quality requirements.

Participates in management meetings to review outstanding Quality Assurance matters and update senior management on other Quality Assurance challenges.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certification) preferred.

Three to five years related years of experience in quality engineering or a related role, with a demonstrated track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).

Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for quality monitoring and decision-making.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.

Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace) is a plus.
