Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser/Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC laser cutting machines, press brake machines, and related equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and perform quality inspections. The CNC Laser/Brake Operator plays a vital role in ensuring precision manufacturing processes and maintaining safety standards within the production environment.
Duties
- Operate CNC laser cutting and CNC press brake machines to fabricate metal parts according to specifications.
- Program CNC machinery using CAD/CAM software and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for precise machining and quality inspection.
- Set up and adjust machinery for optimal performance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Assist with assembly processes as needed, maintaining a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely when moving raw materials or finished products within the facility.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to welding, machining, and material handling.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, and machining operations.
- Mechanical knowledge of press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, welding techniques, and hand tools.
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and machine setup.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as calipers and gauges.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly and machining standards.
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.

- Experience with Radan or Sigma-Nest would be an asset.

Pay: $24.73-$38.83 per hour
