We are urgently hiring a Warehouse General Labourer (Lumper) to join our team immediately. This role involves supporting warehouse distribution operations through heavy lifting, order picking, and operating various types of equipment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and clamp trucks, contributing to the smooth flow of shipping and receiving processes.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate selection of products for shipment
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying inventory accuracy
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with safety protocols
- Support warehouse management system data entry for inventory tracking
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required for loading and unloading goods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
- Experience with order picker machines and warehouse management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Construction or load & unload experience is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively in a warehouse setting
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking during shifts
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
