The Opportunity
Fillmore Construction is looking to welcome a Senior Project Coordinator to our new office in Calgary, AB. Forecasting rapid expansion in the next 5 years, this exciting opportunity will allow you to not only work on amazing projects, but be an integral part of a high-end team as we grow and expand. Our focus is on commercial, institutional, multifamily, and renovation projects. The successful candidate has extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge of the entire lifecycle of a project, from pre-construction to turnover. Many projects will be completed from the office however, some larger projects may require deployment to job sites on a full time or part time basis. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position collaborates with the entire team, from our boots on the ground all they way up to experienced senior management.
Your Key Responsibilities

Provide support to the project team (project manager and site superintendent) for the overall project performance, including development of short and long term scheduling, coordination of onsite activities, and reporting of key project performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

Work closely with project team members and other stakeholders to identify, develop, implement and support cost-effective project delivery.

Provide overall technical assistance to the project team to identify and manage key risk items during the life cycle of the project.

Assist in the change management processes, maintain accurate logs and ensure timely submission and reviews.

Build, Develop, and Maintain relationships with all project stakeholders.

Manage the project documentation controls system. Maintain the current construction documents, administer requests for information, administer the shop drawing submissions and samples, issue accurate meeting minutes and assist with maintaining the project schedule.

Assist with the project close out activities, project commissioning, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals compilation.

Actively participate in the safety culture in our organization.

Your Key Qualifications
-
Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology (CET), Architectural Technologies (AT), Architectural Building Technologies (ABT) or degree from an accredited engineering or construction management program.

3+ years working as a Project Coordinator on commercial construction projects.

Capable of identifying construction challenges and use basic engineering and problem solving principles to present solutions.

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals and stakeholders

Strong organizational and time management skills

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications

Sound decision-making skills while under limited supervision

Experience with Onscreen Takeoff and Bluebeam would be considered an asset
