Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing traffic control company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships with contractors, project managers, superintendents, estimators, municipalities, and utility companies, and securing new traffic control projects.
This is a field-based role that requires regular site visits, networking, and direct outreach to construction and infrastructure companies. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our client base and increasing revenue through strategic business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, site visits, and outreach efforts.
- Visit construction sites and meet with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and estimators to promote our traffic control services.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Generate new accounts and secure traffic control contracts and service agreements.
- Lead negotiations with prospective clients and support the preparation of proposals and quotations.
- Collaborate with management to identify growth opportunities and target markets.
- Monitor industry trends, upcoming projects, and competitor activities.
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade-related meetings to promote company services.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related role.
- Experience in construction, traffic control, civil construction, utilities, road building, or a related industry is considered a strong asset.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into long-term clients.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites and client meetings.
- Existing industry contacts are considered an asset.
Compensation
This is a commission-based position with substantial earning potential.
Compensation will be based on the successful acquisition of new clients and projects. There is no cap on earnings, allowing motivated individuals to build a significant income based on performance.

Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
