Little Bloomers Child Care Centre is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and develop through meaningful play and learning experiences.

- Wage: $17.60 - $29.10 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate learning experiences based on children's interests, needs, and developmental stages.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages children's curiosity, independence, and learning.
- Provide responsive and nurturing care while supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times and ensure their health, safety, and well-being.
- Follow daily classroom routines, including meals, rest periods, outdoor play, transitions, and learning activities.
- Observe and document children's learning and development and maintain accurate daily records.
- Support positive behaviour guidance and use developmentally appropriate approaches to help children develop self-regulation and social skills.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with families regarding their child's experiences, development, and individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and centre management to provide consistent and high-quality care.
- Follow individual support plans, medical plans, allergy plans, and other accommodations as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and participate in cleaning and sanitizing routines.
- Follow all applicable licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, centre policies, and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, training, and centre activities as required.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized program.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check, as required for employment in a licensed child care setting.
- Up-to-date immunization and health documentation as required by the centre and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of Ontario's early learning and child care framework, licensing requirements, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience working in a licensed child care setting is an asset.
- Experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children is an asset.
- Experience supporting children with special needs or individual developmental needs is an asset.
- Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage classroom routines and responsibilities effectively.
- Comfortable using computers and digital documentation systems.
- French or another additional language is an asset.
Physical and Work Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Participate actively in indoor and outdoor activities with children.
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the classroom and playground during the workday.
- Lift and carry young children when required.
- Respond promptly to children's safety and supervision needs.
- Work effectively in a busy early learning environment.
