Pup & Co House Care is hiring experienced, dependable pet sitters to provide premium in-home pet care throughout Burlington, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Oakville and surrounding areas.
Compensation: Overnight services typically pay $81–$91+ per booking, depending on the client and service. Additional earning opportunities are available through care blocks, daytime visits, holiday bookings and gratuities.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, supplemental income rather than guaranteed full-time hours.
Minimum Requirements

- Valid Ontario driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Smartphone
- Previous experience handling dogs independently
- Comfortable staying overnight in clients' homes
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, Google Calendar and email
- Willing to travel throughout our service area
- Police Background Check required prior to hire
Independent Contractor Position
This is an Independent Contractor position.
- Paid per completed service
- Flexible scheduling based on your availability and client bookings
- Responsible for filing and paying your own taxes
- Commercial liability insurance required (group policy available for under $10/month)
Overnight Care Expectations
Our overnight sitters stay in the client's home while they are away. Pets may be left alone for up to approximately 6 hours within a 24-hour period, depending on their individual care plan.
This role is best suited for individuals with flexible daytime availability who can schedule their day around the needs of the pets in their care.
What You'll Do
- Provide overnight, in-home pet care
- Walk dogs, administer medications (when required) and follow each pet's care plan
- Send updates and photos to clients
- Maintain a clean, respectful home environment
Physical Requirements
You must be able to safely handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels, walk in all weather conditions, lift up to approximately 50 lbs, and remain physically active throughout the day.
