About the RoleWe are hiring a Senior BAS Project Specialist to lead and deliver complex Building Automation System (BAS) projects across commercial and institutional facilities.This is a senior, project‑focused role, ideal for an experienced BAS technician who wants to work on properly designed systems, not endless service calls or patchwork fixes.You will take ownership of BAS projects from programming and graphics through commissioning and client turnover, with the autonomy expected at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS) for HVAC equipment
- Lead BAS projects using Tridium Niagara N4, Honeywell WEBS, Schneider, and JCI FX
- Develop sequences of operation, control logic, and system graphics
- Commission and troubleshoot BAS networks, controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices
- Integrate BAS with third‑party systems using standard protocols
- Perform functional testing and system optimization during commissioning
- Support Project Managers with technical expertise and commissioning documentation
- Mentor and support junior BAS technicians on projects
- Ensure systems meet design intent, performance expectations, and industry standards
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Strong experience with Niagara N4 (certification preferred)
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and control strategies
- Experience with BAS project delivery (not service‑only roles)
- Comfortable working independently and leading technically on projects
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time‑management skills
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
- Niagara AX or N4 certification
- CET, Technologist diploma, or related technical education
- Experience with multiple BAS manufacturers
- Networking or system integration experience
- Prior mentorship or lead technician experience
