FMTP 077 Introduction to College English (section 1)

Salary : $8,415.25
P lease note that given the current circumstances and the lack of certainty with regards to the resumption of in-person teaching activities, this course may be required to be taught in part or entirely remotely or in part or entirely in person. Confirmation of primary mode of teaching for the Winter semester for specific courses in a Faculty/School will be announced at the latest by the end of October 2020. The course lecturer may be required to prepare and deliver teaching material suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system. Training and assistance on remote teaching is available through Teaching and Learning Services. Course L ecturers are encouraged to record their lectures.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education : Master’s degree in English or equivalent
Experience : Prior teaching experience at the college level, with this or similar 101 (Intro to College English) English courses, with evidence of effective teaching. Relevant non-teaching experience (presentations, workshops, field days, professional consultation, etc) or professional practice will also be considered.
Other: A lecturer who has taught the course twice previously, is considered to meet the TQRs.
