TITLE: IT Business Analyst

LOCATION: In office-Acheson, AB
HOURS:
- Flexible - can select a start time from 6:00am - 9:00am (must be consistent)
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client in Acheson is seeking an IT Business Analyst to set up automated KPIs, integrate reporting systems, and streamline metrics to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role is essential for building a robust reporting foundation and offers a pathway to future leadership. Initially, the focus will be on analytics and system integration, with the potential to grow into a Team Lead position once KPIs and reporting processes are fully established.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
KPI and Reporting Automation:
- Design and automate KPI reporting and performance metrics, delivering high-quality insights for senior leadership.
- Develop and integrate software tools, automate dashboards, and ensure seamless data flow across multiple platforms.
Business Process Analysis & Improvement:
- Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement, documenting workflows and processes.
- Identify deficiencies and opportunities within business processes and develop actionable solutions.
- Communicate improvement plans effectively to cross-functional team members and management.
Change Management & Project Oversight:
- Act as Project Manager for the implementation of recommended solutions, including sourcing resources, providing technical expertise, testing, and overseeing training.
- Manage the company’s change management process to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and practices.
System Management & Optimization:
- Oversee multiple IT systems, ensuring integrations work seamlessly and issues are identified and resolved proactively.
- Address training gaps within the team to optimize the use of available software tools, improving overall system utilization.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in BI (Business Intelligence)
- At least 2 years experience with KPI Development & Creation
- Proven experience in API integration and managing multiple IT resources.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of the IT function, with minimal reliance on senior leadership.
- Strong project management skills, capable of driving change and optimizing processes across multiple business units.
- Professional, polished communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and present insights to senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience with reporting automation and systems integration, ideally in environments with diverse software needs.
- Post-secondary education in IT, Business, or a related field.
LIKE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry
- Someone that oversaw IT functions at a small to mid-sized organization
