A well-established Vancouver law firm is seeking a Securities Hybrid Legal Administrative Assistant to join its securities group. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is looking to support complex corporate and securities transactions while working closely with lawyers and clients on reporting issuer matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting lawyers with securities-related transactions including private placements, public offerings, takeover bids, share consolidations, and name changes
- Preparing and managing securities filings through SEDAR+, SEDI, BCSC eServices, TMX LINX, CSE, and other regulatory platforms
- Preparing Reports of Exempt Distribution, TSX/TSXV filings, exemptive relief applications, and continuous disclosure filings
- Assisting with AGM materials including Notices of Meeting, Management Information Circulars, and proxy materials
- Maintaining corporate records and assisting with incorporations, amalgamations, dissolutions, and corporate resolutions
- Liaising with clients, transfer agents, and regulatory bodies regarding securities filings and compliance matters
- Assisting with securities precedent documents, filing timelines, and transaction closing materials
- Supporting lawyers and clients with continuous disclosure obligations and related securities matters
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Securities Hybrid Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal or Securities Paralegal within a law firm environment.
- Experience with SEDAR+, SEDI, and securities regulatory filings
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, proofreading, and document production skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
Compensation:
- Salary range: approximately $70,000 – $90,000+ depending on experience
