Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and machinery, including trucks and Trailers.
- Use hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, or industrial machinery as needed for repairs or testing.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with industrial equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Assist with assembly or installation of new equipment or parts when required.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with strong mechanical knowledge across various systems.
- Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Experience working with industrial or heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Basic understanding of automotive repair principles combined with the ability to read technical manuals or schematics.
