Kendellhurst Academy is a private preschool offering toddler to preschool programs in Oakville. We are seeking experienced teachers looking for change and possible advancement in the early childhood field. We have two full-time RECE toddler teacher positions open in our Oakville and Streetsville campuses. We are a CWELCC funded school.

Qualifications:
- RECE certification, OCT candidates are welcome too;
- previous experience in childcare and teaching;
- passionate about working with children;
- ability to build rapport with children and teaching partners;
- positive, patient and kind demeanour;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- minimum of 5-8 plus years of teaching experience preferred;
- we also hire and train new teacher candidates.
Skills and Abilities:
- able to rotate all classrooms (toddler, preschool and pre-k);
- able to work within a collaborative team environment;
- able to work independently or as a team teacher in all subject areas;
- able to communicate in a professional manner and write report cards with team teachers;
- nurturing and warm educator with a focus on student-centred and inquiry learning;
- able to prioritize and multi-task within a small and busy school community.
Responsibilities:
- plan and present age appropriate activities for children with your team teacher;
- instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth;
- create a fun and safe learning environment;
- follow schedules and routines to ensure proper learning, physical activity, rest and playtime;
- establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents;
- communicate with parents on students' growth and progress;
- maintain the health and safety of all students.

3. a list of at least 3 recent teaching references from educational leaders (Supervisors/Principals) upon hiring.
After Hire Ready:
4. a completed Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check;
5. RECE: “in good standing”;
6. Appropriate First Aid CPR certification.
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
