Job Summary:
Park Mazda is seeking an experienced Fixed Operations Manager. We are looking for a proven leader, with great communication skills to work with our large fixed operations team. We're not a typical Mazda store, we are an upbeat, energetic group that is constantly working together to improve. We invest in our people to empower their creativity and decision making by providing training, coaching and accountability to encourage growth and success. We have a newly renovated facility with 18 hoists, 4 wet bays and one dry bay (3M). We are a larger than normal used car retailer with 100+ used vehicles retailed/mo.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the position are to oversee the financial performance of the service, parts, and detail departments while also providing an exceptional customer experience to all of our valued clients.
A FOM would need to oversee and be responsible for the performance of the following departments and staff:
- Technician & Apprentice Technicians (14)
- Detailers & Detail department (4)
- Parts Manager and advisors + Driver (5)
- Service BDC Department (3)
- Service Advisors (5)
- ASM, SM
- Shuttle driver
As a FOM you would be required to careful monitor and improve:
- Total sales & gross profit percentages for service, parts and detail of all types
- Personnel & Semi-fixed expenses
- ELR
- CP Hours/R.O
- CP RO Count
- Maintain an above average CSI (CEP) standing with Mazda Canada
- Service retention
Our areas for improvement required are:
- Increasing total CP R.O count
- CP Hours/R.O (closing ASR’s)
- Achieving our desired effective labour rate
- Working with our used sales department improve efficiency
Essential duties:
- Forecast monthly and annual sales, and create goals and objectives to strive to meet them
- Train and motivate and monitor the performance of the service and parts department managers, and their teams
- Strive for collaboration and teamwork with all other departments and department heads
- Understand and ensure compliance with the OEM warranty and policy procedures
- Focus on a team culture where our teams can work together to maximize productivity and efficiency wherever possible
- Ensure a high level of customer experience is provides to our clients and shown as such on our CSI scores
Skills Required:
- Proven experience in fixed operations management or a similar role in automotive
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Communication: address all levels from techs to senior management
- Excellent customer service skills ensuring the service team performs effectively and that customers are satisfied.
- Ability to analyze data, financial statements and make informed business decisions

Compensation is above industry average. Looking for a good long term fit for this role.
Hours are Mon-Fri 8-5.
Shop hours are the same, with a 9-1 Saturday shift.
Due to holidays/schedules, we will be conducting interviews mid to late August.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
