Abatement Technologies, a global company & industry leader in indoor air filtration & restoration equipment, is looking for an energetic and safety minded Purchasing Coordinator for our Western Canada (Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver) locations. Within limits of authority, initiate and execute Purchase Orders, and maintain and establish customer service and inventory objectives.
Assist with invoice or packing disputes, reporting damaged or short shipments to vendors. Return defective merchandise to vendors for repair, replacement, or credit.
Assist with the development and implementation of procedures to optimize inventory levels.
Enter new part numbers into the company’s ERP system.
Coordinate drop ship orders of products that ship from suppliers.
Maintain and update current supplier records, purchasing agreements, conditions and promotions within the ERP Supplier Maintenance.
Maintain visibility and traceability of order information and expedite status.
Update certificates of origin annually or as required.
Support the Company continuous improvement program by documenting and developing best work practices within the purchasing and customer service areas.
Work with technical service and warehouse staff to audit and document any issues concerning product quality, product failures, packaging or labeling of goods.
Answer all incoming sales and purchasing calls.
Enter sales orders and process payments in ERP system.
Assist customers with order status and expected delivery dates.
Provide back-up coverage for other members of the team, in accordance with Company guidelines, to ensure that customer inquiries and orders are fulfilled during PTO, business travel, other absences and emergencies.
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least three years o purchasing and customer service experience, preferably in a related industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate sound business judgement and a high level of integrity at all times.
Ability to multi-task and high level of attention to detail.
Must be computer literate.
Must be a team player.
Monday to Friday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
