Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solid Surface Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, assembly, and finishing of solid surface materials, with a focus on precision and quality. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to produce high-quality surfaces for residential and commercial projects. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy machinery, power tools, and hand tools within a manufacturing or construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble solid surface materials according to project specifications
- Operate machining equipment, power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Use forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials within the warehouse or fabrication area
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements
- Assist in the installation process when necessary, ensuring proper assembly and fit
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machining and heavy equipment
- Experience with forklift operation and warehouse procedures
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes within construction or similar industries
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Knowledge of assembly techniques for solid surface materials
- Prior experience with fabrication of Solid Surface
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and adhere to safety standards at all times
