Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Flatbed Driver to join our transportation team as part of our Construction Operations. This role involves safely transporting freight across various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to operational excellence. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your skills in commercial driving and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ flatbed trucks to transport freight over long and short distances.
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting, including minor repairs or automotive repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure safe operations at all times.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management when required.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating flatbed trucks and freight transportation preferred.
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to handle freight securely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other tools.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment use.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and warehouse teams.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads, climbing onto trucks, and working in various weather conditions.
- Prior experience with freight handling or logistics is desirable but not mandatory. This position is essential for maintaining efficient transportation operations while prioritizing safety and reliability in every delivery.
Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour
