We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist an individual with an Acquired Brain Injury to provide personal care and assistance with all activities of daily living; The individual is high functioning and ambulates with a walker.
Someone with a bubbly personality would be perfect for this position.
Location:
Casual Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Saturday and Sunday
- 9:00pm to 5:00pm
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Cueing and direction through all activities of daily living
- Taking the individual out into the community
- Range of motion exercises
Required Qualifications:
- Class 5 or 4 driver's license and personal vehicle
- Clean driver's abstract
- Registered Care Aide/Health Care Aide
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Experience supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health Required
- Willingness to be trained
- Must be a non-smoker/non-vaper
- Must have no history of injuries and be in good health
- Must live in Nanaimo, BC
