We are currently looking for professional dog groomers with gentle approach to join our team on a part-time basis and contribute to the positive and loving culture at Pawparazzi Dog Grooming & Spa. Saturday availability is a must. Interested candidates should provide pictures of sample work/portfolio along with the application. Your pay will be commission-based and you will also receive 100% of the tips. Booking and scheduling appointments/customer interactions are done by our receptionist team and not part of the duties of groomer.
A good candidate will have:
- At least 1 year experience in dog grooming along with grooming certification.
- Knowledge and skill of grooming services, including bathing, drying, clipping, hand scissoring, general cleansing, pedicures, ear cleansing, anal gland expression as requested for each pet.
- Knowledge and skill of specialized grooming techniques depending on type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions.
- Familiar with breed standard cuts and able to manage all size dogs.
- Have a gentle approach to grooming and can handle nervous, anxious, old, or reactive dogs.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Have good knowledge of safe handling of pets.
- Great teamwork skills for working in friendly environment
- Have strong communication skills to speak to colleagues in a clear, transparent and polite manner.
