Junior Project Manager - Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing stone countertop projects from contract award through project completion. This role coordinates with customers, builders, designers, suppliers, fabrication teams, and installation crews to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination
- Manage multiple stone countertop projects simultaneously ranging from residential homes, commercial and multi family building developments
- Review project specifications, drawings, measurements, and contracts.
- Work with project coordinator and coordinate production timelines.
- Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available to meet project requirements.
- Review project documentation for accuracy and details
- Approve project invoices, sales orders, work orders etc.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or issues to prevent bottle necks and maximize efficiencys.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary contact for homeowners, contractors, builders, designers, and commercial clients.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Manage customer expectations regarding schedules, materials, and installation requirements.
- Resolve customer concerns and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
Project Documentation
- Review project costs and monitor budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track change orders and communicate cost impacts to clients and office manager
- Monitor project efficiency, production capacitity and identify opportunities for higher output while maintaining quality and consistency
Fabrication & Production Coordination
- Work closely with templating, fabrication, and installation teams.
- Ensure accurate measurements, shop drawings, and production specifications.
- Approve projects for production after reviewing project details and documents
- Coordinate material procurement and inventory requirements.
- Verify that fabrication schedules align with installation commitments.
Installation Management
- Coordinate site readiness inspections before installation for larger projects
- Monitor installation quality and ensure projects meet company standards.
- Conduct project closeout activities and ensure customer satisfaction
Quality Assurance
- Perform site visits and inspections as required.
- Address quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation related to warranties, punch lists, and project completion.
QualificationsRequired
- 2–4+ years of project management experience in construction, stone fabrication, millwork, cabinetry, or a related industry.
- Ability to read architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities via email, phone, in-person
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites, if required.
