We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Worker to help maintain our property and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Position Summary
The Part-Time Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. This role supports the daily operation of the property by addressing maintenance requests, ensuring equipment functionality, and maintaining high standards of safety and appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and service calls.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and building systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Maintain hotel grounds, walkways, and exterior areas as required.
- Assist with setting up and moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
- Maintain maintenance logs, records, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Report major repair needs or safety concerns to management.
- Support emergency response procedures when required.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, hospitality, commercial, or residential environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
