Reporting directly to the Administrative Coordinator, Post Adoption Registry, you will have the chance to deliver services to clients about current adoption procedures and the Legislation in Alberta. In this role you will be the initial point of contact to the Post Adoption registry/ Post Guardianship Services. The Post Adoption Registry serves a variety of clients such as adoptees, adoptive parents, birth parents, birth siblings, descendants, former wards of the province and community stakeholders.
As the Administrative Support, you will assess the numerous requests and determine, by using policy and procedures, if the information is to be passed over to the Senior Manager or the Post Guardianship Analysts. Extensive searching of records and information is required to assess eligibility by utilizing several of the Registry's record resources such as the Adoption Registry and Reunion database, CYIM, CICIO and Documentum. Attention to detail is required in this role.
In this position, you will also be the first contact for clients who visit the Post Adoption Registry office, to seek assistance and information. It is critical that all interactions with clients be completed in a courteous, professional manner.

The position requires high school diploma and one year of related experience.
Related experience will be considered as following:
- Experience working with ARRS, CYIM and CICIO databases. This may be tested.
- Proficient with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.). This may be tested.
- Working knowledge of the Children's Services Ministry
- Experience working with the ARTS system.
- Experience providing customer service through all channels including telephone, email, in person and mail.
$1,551.94 - $1,888.54 bi-weekly
