Role Description

You will join IC Tech as a Software Developer co-op to support, troubleshoot and maintain software for a variety of systems using mature and new technologies. You will work with technology co-workers to review current application state, identify opportunity to fine tune applications and maximize efficiencies while following our code best practice standards. You will be part of a software development team maximizing our best in class customer experience!

The Work:
Working within a dynamic team to support, maintain and troubleshoot various software applications
Opportunities may include tasks such as design, develop, integrate, test, transition to production and maintain software applications
Collaborate amongst various functional teams, analysts and architects
Contribute to the elimination of problems through permanent fixes including the identification of solutions, scoping the work, and executing the changes
Provide production support, application monitoring and tuning for applications
Deliver meaningful real-time results by troubleshooting application issues

You:

Requirements:
Pursuing a post graduate degree in Programming or Information Systems diploma in a related IT discipline
Knowledge of the following applications and languages – BMC Remedy, SQL for DB2, VB.net

Experience triaging issues with:
Microsoft Office Suite
Networking
Printing
Hardware (laptops, desktops, and peripherals)
Mobile (wifi connectivity issues on Android and IOS environments)
Windows 10 and Mac OS operating systems
Experience updating and creating documentation for technical issues and how-to’s
Asset to have experience with:IBM z/OS
JCL
COBOL
IBM Data Studio
Compuware products (Fileaid, Expediter, AbendAid, Workbench)
Changeman
Control-M
MoveIT
VB6

Experience with software development tools, such as:
Software Version Control – SVN, Git
Integrated Development Environments (IDE) – MS Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.
Collaboration tools – Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Slack, Teams
