We are looking for a CNC Machine Operator/Programmer with over 5 years DIRECT manufacturing experience in a leadership role and experienced with directing and mentoring CNC programmers and machine operators.
The following are the duties:
- Program CNC machines using CAMWorks
- Manage tool inventory and place orders for new tools to meet machine job requirements
- Train new and existing employees
- Provide guidance and direction to CNC Operators to fulfill production requirements
- Working with Sales personnel, quote machine job time requirements
- Solve CAD/CAM issues whenever Machine Operators run into problems (troubleshooting)
- Coordinate with the Project Management and Department Lead to ensure optimal machining and operator time
- Program multiple Vertical and Horizontal Boring Mills, Lathes and Mill Turn machine tools using CNC programming Software
- Determine processes for optimal machining sequence
Qualifications:
- Must possess Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR a formal Post-Secondary education in a related field (ie: Technologist, Machinist, Technician)
- Minimum of 10 years CNC Machining experience
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of CNC Programming and solid knowledge of CNC (Lathe and Mill) programming software
- Lead Hand or similar management experience
- Process Engineering knowledge is a definite asset for this position
- Experience with and knowledgeable in ALL aspects of Quality Systems as they relate to CNC Machining
- Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken
- Must have direct manufacturing environment experience
- Strong Knowledge of CNC lathe & mill tooling
- Excellent ability to organize and maintain CNC programs and tooling.
- Experience using Microsoft Office
