OVERVIEW
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Services & CFO, the Director, Community Collaboration & Diagnostics has responsibility and accountability for collaboration with our community partners and the Muskoka & Area Ontario Health Team (MAOHT); Diagnostic Services; Health Information and Patient Registration/Scheduling at MAHC. The position is responsible for support and promotion of patient-centred care, patient safety initiatives, maintaining a supportive work environment and leading practices within the programs to achieve outcomes identified in the MAHC Strategic Plan. The incumbent will provide leadership and direction to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of these services and is accountable for the provision of expert and compassionate care consistent with the strategic plan, values and mission of the Hospital. The position is accountable to ensure seamless, consistent, timely and high-quality services to patients/clients across the continuum of care provided by MAHC. In addition, this Director will be responsible for Muskoka and Area Ontario Health Team (MAOHT) projects impacting MAHC. This role will be expected to coordinate initiatives with members of the leadership team and their departments with respect to initiatives that impact service provision within the hospital.
ROLE
- Provide operational and clinical leadership to support safe, high-quality patient care and patient support services across a 24/7 healthcare environment
- Partner with internal leaders, physicians, staff, and external stakeholders to promote integrated, patient-centred care across the continuum
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, standards, and goals aligned with best practices and organizational priorities
- Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, and resource management to support strategic and operational objectives
- Monitor program performance, quality indicators, utilization trends, and patient experience data to drive continuous improvement
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, and staff development in collaboration with Human Resources and operational leaders
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, recognition, and continuous learning across interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure readiness for accreditation activities and compliance with professional, ethical, legal, and organizational standards
- Provide leadership in operational risk management, conflict resolution, workload planning, and capital equipment evaluation
- Represent the organization on committees, partnerships, and initiatives, while contributing to projects and priorities across multiple sites
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline required
- Master's Degree in a related discipline is desired
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive related clinical experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a unionized environment

Location: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday during regular business hours, however you may be required to be available occasionally during evenings and weekends according to departmental and organizational requirements.
