Job overview: A skilled Automotive Body is a vital member of our collision repair team, you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Your expertise in vehicle disassembly, structural bodywork, welding, reassembly, priming, mechanical inspections, and assisting in estimating will ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Inspections: Conduct thorough mechanical inspections during the estimating process to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the work to be performed.
Assist in Estimating: Collaborate with estimators to provide accurate assessments of repair costs and timeframes based on your technical expertise.
Vehicle Disassembly: Efficiently and safely disassemble damaged vehicles to assess and prepare for repair work.
Structural Body Work: Perform skilled repair and reconstruction of vehicle frames and structures using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
Welding: Proficiently use welding equipment to repair damaged metal components with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
Reassembly: Skillfully reassemble vehicles post-repair, ensuring all parts fit correctly and align with manufacturer specifications.
Priming: Apply primers and sealers to prepared surfaces, ensuring a smooth, uniform finish that meets quality standards.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout all repair processes to ensure superior quality and customer satisfaction.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials and disposal procedures.
Qualifications:
— Proven interest as an Automotive Body Technician or similar role in a collision repair environment.
— Expertise in vehicle disassembly, structural bodywork, welding, reassembly, and priming.
— Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform detailed mechanical inspections.
— Proficiency in using industry-standard tools and equipment.
— Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair orders.
— Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with estimators and other team members.
— Certification in automotive body repair (Red Seal certification or equivalent is preferred).
— Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
