Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional Server/Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive dining experience through attentive guest services, efficient seating arrangements, and effective communication. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but a passion for customer service and a positive attitude are essential. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Take reservations and manage waitlists using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Provide menus and answer questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand and dining area to ensure a tidy environment
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing accurate information
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues effectively
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with basic food service tasks when necessary
Skills
- Excellent guest services skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Strong serving experience and knowledge of hospitality standards
- Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures
- Proficient in using POS systems, including Micros POS or similar platforms
- Effective communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key
