Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess collision impact and repair needs
- Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to facilitate claims processing and approvals
- Coordinate with the service team to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion
- Upsell additional services or repairs that benefit the customer while meeting dealership goals
- Handle cash transactions, payment processing, and maintain accurate financial records during the estimation process
Skills
- Must have at least 2 years experience as an Automotive Collision Estimator
- Proven dealership experience in vehicle estimating or collision repair assessment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Experience in sales or upselling automotive services or repairs
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes and collision industry standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Mechanical experience or background as a mechanic is highly advantageous
