We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, will work side by side with a red seal carpenter, apprenticeship options available for candidates with a good attitude and willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with the installation of structures and fixtures, including doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Help with flooring installation and tile laying as directed.
- Support drywall installation and finishing processes.
- Participate in construction painting tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
- Aid in caulking and sealing joints to ensure durability and weather resistance.
- Assist in fabricating wooden structures and components as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Familiarity with basic carpentry tools and techniques is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed within the construction field.
