About the Role
An Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) private investor is seeking a sharp, meticulous Stock Research Analyst to drive long and short term capital deployment. You will skip the corporate bureaucracy of traditional wealth management firms and focus entirely on the buy-side. Your objective is clear: conduct rigorous fundamental analysis on publicly traded companies to identify investment opportunities and maximize portfolio growth.
Core Responsibilities
● Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and stress-test complex Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models and valuation spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
● Metric Evaluation: Analyze target companies using core metrics, including P/E ratios, EV/EBITDA, Return on Equity (ROE), and sector-specific multiples.
● Risk Assessment: Evaluate balance sheet health with a heavy focus on capital structure, Debt-to-Equity (D/E) ratios, interest coverage, and liquidity constraints.
● Price Targets: Establish objective 12-month price targets based on forward-looking growth projections, macroeconomic trends, and competitive moats.
● Investment Summaries: Translate deep-dive corporate research into concise, actionable investment memos recommending specific buy, hold, or sell actions.
● Continuous Monitoring: Track earnings reports, regulatory filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs), and broader industry shifts for existing portfolio holdings.
Requirements & Qualifications
● Experience: 3+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, or Buy-Side Asset Management.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting. CFA charterholder or current candidate strongly preferred.
● Technical Skills: Exceptional financial modeling capability and mastery of market data terminals (Bloomberg or FactSet).
● Mindset: Analytical thinker who can spot "blind spots" (like cyclical earnings distortions or cash flow mismatches) and state opinions with absolute candor.
