Conavi Medical’s Foresight ICE catheter is the world's first intracardiac echo system with the capability to acquire 2D and 3D images with a broad field-of-view that includes both side-viewing and forward-looking capabilities. Our Novasight Hybrid System enables simultaneous imaging of coronary arteries with both intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).

If you would like to be a part of our growing and talented team that is making a difference in healthcare, we are currently looking for a Production Technician (Micro-Assembly) to contribute to the timely assembly of Conavi’s medical devices according to manufacturing (CGMP) and quality standards (ISO13485) with a focus on the micro-assembly and/or fabrication.

In this position, you will:
Review and verify process and quality documentation for the devices to be manufactured including work instructions, electrical and mechanical assembly documents, Bills of Material, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Perform final testing and inspection of parts to be used in the assembly of devices as required
Assemble and/or fabricate the miniature mechanical, electrical and optical components for the catheters and transducers in accordance with process and quality documentation by using microscopes, measuring, hand or power tools in or outside of a clean-room environment
Verify medical devices manufactured according to work instructions and quality documents
Complete paperwork and electronic documentation related to the manufacturing and quality control processes
Assist with the assembly of larger parts or components (e.g. Acquisition and Display Module or ADM) and sub-assemblies as workload and dept. priorities require
Maintain cleanliness and order of work area to create a safe space and ensure compliance with CGMP
Dismantle, clean, assemble and set-up manufacturing or testing equipment as required
Continuously train on process, quality and safety documentation to maintain a current knowledge and understanding of operational expectations
Act as a Manufacturing representative on cross-functional teams addressing business challenges
Guide and train other Production Technicians as required
Contribute to the development of manufacturing and quality documentation
Support the implementation of initiatives that drive efficiency and increase product yields
Participate in, and adhere to, health & safety initiatives and requirements

You possess the following qualifications:
Secondary school education required while a post-secondary education (e.g. mechanical, engineering, electronics technology) is preferred
Strong medical device manufacturing experience operating under a Quality Management System operating under ISO13485
Exceptional ability to work with micro sized parts under a microscope (40x)
Ability to work within a clean room environment including wearing the necessary attire
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
Ability to lift, push, pull items weighing 25 kgs. or less
Soldering knowledge and skills
Ability to work with small amounts of chemicals on occasion (e.g. solvent, epoxy)
Able to comprehend and follow technical documentation
Basic skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Teamwork-oriented approach to achieving goals
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and execute tasks in a timely manner
Strong self-initiative and work ethic
