Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Volunteer to support our financial and business development initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in financial services, corporate finance, and risk management within a nonprofit or organizational setting. The Volunteer will contribute to various financial operations, helping to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective risk analysis, while supporting the organization’s growth and sustainability.
Duties
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions
- Support bookkeeping activities, including data entry and maintaining financial records
- Aid in account reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial statements
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by preparing reports and monitoring expenses
- Participate in risk analysis and risk management activities to identify potential financial vulnerabilities
- Assist with business development initiatives by preparing documentation and supporting outreach efforts
- Help with investment tracking and related documentation to support organizational financial planning
- Collaborate with team members on cost management strategies to optimize resource allocation
- Support general administrative tasks related to financial services and corporate finance operations
Skills
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and accounting principles
- Familiarity with budgeting, cost management, and account reconciliation processes
- Understanding of financial services, corporate finance, investment, and risk analysis concepts
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
