Responsibilities
- Delivers warm and connected guest service
- Takes ownership of guest complaints, finding creative ways to solve problems and follow-ups with the guest
- Answers all guest calls within three rings
- Takes In-Room Dining orders
- Assists guests with questions regarding the hotel and local area
- Ensures all security procedures are followed when transferring calls
- Ensures all wake-up calls are entered accurately
- Enters all guest and maintenance requests into Marriott Global System
- Performs other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
- Is flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekdays (Monday to Friday), weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays, in the morning, afternoon and evening
- Is a friendly, energetic person who prides themselves on creating memorable guest experiences through warm & genuine service
- Previous Switchboard, Front Desk, hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent telephone etiquette and clear, professional communication skills
- Ability to operate multi-line switchboard and call management systems
- Proficiency with computer applications (such as Microsoft Excel, Word and other applications) and hotel reservation systems
- Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
- Takes initiative to find creative ways to respond to guest requests
- Understands that success lies in working together and enjoys being part of a team
- Gets excited by an energetic, fast-paced environment
- Speaks fluent English. Additional languages to connect with international guests is an asset
- Is able to multi-task with excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Lightspeed and GXP/Digital Guest Services considered an asset
- Is excited to belong to a team of caring, warm, energetic Team Members
