Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking customer orders, processing payments, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting. This is a part-time job offering 20-40 hours per week.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Prepare and serve food items, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, handling cash with accuracy and providing correct change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including bussing tables and sanitizing workstations
- Assist in food preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic culinary tasks
- Manage order flow during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and good communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, and sanitation standards in a restaurant or café setting is desirable
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining quality service
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations is advantageous
- Prior experience in the food industry, serving, bussing tables, or working in grocery stores or retail environments will be considered beneficial
