This opportunity is for 14 month contract starting approximately May 2020. There is potential for the ideal candidate to join the team permanently and grow for success!
As Packaging Scheduler, you will be expected to be involved in the aspects of supporting the plant operations and providing excellent customer service to the Strathroy team. Leading by example you would promote performance, teamwork, commitment, continuous improvement, contributing to and promoting a positive team environment. In this role you will report to the Logistics Manager.
Develop, maintain and communicate an ongoing packaging schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders and balanced with maintaining operational efficiencies, while ensuring timely deliveries
Review packaging schedules to determine material requirements and maintenance of appropriate stocking levels
Scheduling and tracking of shipments
Purchase and maintain poly and carton inventories
Assist in inventory control, compile and maintain records of material inventory.
Education RequirementPost Secondary Diploma Experience Requirement
Post secondary education in a related discipline
Minimum 3 years experience, with preference to candidates with material resource planning (MRP) experience
Food production/packaging experience is an asset
Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Excellent computer literacy
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
