Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Guitar/Piano Teacher to inspire students of all ages in developing their musical skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in tutoring and teaching music, with a particular focus on guitar and piano. This role offers an opportunity to foster a love for music while working in a supportive educational environment. Candidates with classroom experience, early childhood education background, or experience working with children are highly encouraged to apply. The position involves creating engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs and encouraging musical growth.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one or group instruction in guitar and piano to students of various ages and skill levels
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with each student's goals and learning pace
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, or examinations as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development and upcoming events
- Incorporate fun activities such as cooking or other creative projects when relevant to enhance engagement (nice-to-have skill)
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching music, specifically guitar and piano
- Strong background in working with children and understanding of early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication skills and patience to work with learners of diverse backgrounds and ages
- Classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for creating an engaging learning environment is essential
- Ability to develop creative lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles
- Passion for music education and fostering a love for the arts
- Additional skills such as cooking or other creative activities are considered a plus but not required
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
