We are currently recruiting for an experienced Material Control Manager to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organization in the Toronto area.
This is a key leadership position responsible for master scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, production control, material planning, shipping and receiving. You will ensure production capacity and material availability are effectively aligned with customer requirements.
Salary: $100,000 – $115,000
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage master production schedules using MRP/ERP systems
Balance production capacity, material availability and customer demand
Oversee inventory control, cycle counting, stores, shipping and receiving
Manage material planning and direct material requirements
Monitor production priorities, bottlenecks and line-of-balance performance
Lead capacity planning and monthly/annual production planning
Manage and develop teams across material planning, shipping and receiving
Support continuous improvement and supply chain initiatives
Maintain departmental procedures in accordance with AS9100 and quality requirements
Provide regular MRP, inventory, capacity and production reporting to management
Support ERP system improvements and implementation initiatives
Requirements:
Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline
5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace strongly preferred
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management and production planning
APICS CPIM preferred
Manufacturing Leadership certification is an asset
Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
Strong knowledge of forecasting, capacity planning and cost accounting
Advanced database and spreadsheet skills
ERP implementation or system transition experience is an asset
Strong problem-solving skills, including 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis and 8D
