Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tiler to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. Duties
- Measure, cut, and install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to blueprints and project plans
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate tile placement
- Use hand tools such as trowels, cutters, levels, and drills to complete installations efficiently
- Perform surface preparation including carpentry tasks like framing or minor repairs as needed
- Apply caulking around tiled surfaces for waterproofing and finishing touches
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or handyman teams to ensure seamless project completion
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction work
- Proficiency with hand tools used in tiling and carpentry tasks
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, including surface preparation and waterproofing techniques
- Experience with caulking and finishing details for professional results
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various trades
- Excellent attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks effectively
