Title: Occupational Therapist
Salary: $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 (pay range explained below)
Contract: Temporary - April 1, 2027, with the possibility of an extension. When the term position ends with the FNHA, it is intended that this position will be offered as a permanent role with the es zúmin’ Primary Care Center.
Hours: Part time - (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: es zúmin’ Primary Care Center - Mount Currie
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides occupational therapy service in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) standards of practice, and in collaboration and partnership with the interprofessional care team. Provides assessment, occupational therapy diagnosis and prognosis, treatment plan and intervention development, implementation and evaluation, and patient consultation and education to enable the patient to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. Participates in approved occupational therapy and interprofessional research, special projects, and program quality and safety activities.
About you:
To be successful in this position you will have:
Education
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Occupational Certification
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
Experience
- Minimum two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in various field and programs
- Experience in community interventions and coordination or service plans is an asset
- Experience working with individuals, families and community organizations
- Experience working with First Nations communities preferred
Knowledge
- Knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a patient and family centered model of care.
- Knowledge of the COTBC standards of practice and practice guidelines for clinical practitioners.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy standardized tests, measures, use of equipment and related techniques.
- Broad knowledge of other health care professions and their role in patient care.
- Basic knowledge of research process and methodology.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
