Commercial Tire Technician Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience with tire installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance on commercial vehicles, both at the shop and on the road.. As a Commercial Tire Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers by providing high-quality tire services. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and independently.
Key responsibilities
- Tire service: Install, mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires on various vehicles including trucks, agricultural equipment, industrial and passenger vehicles.
- On-site and roadside service: Respond to emergency calls and conduct routine fleet checks at customer locations and on the road.
- Inspections: Inspect tires for proper inflation, tread wear, and overall condition to ensure safety and identify potential issues
- Documentation: accurately complete service work orders, reports, and other required paperwork.
- Shop and equipment maintenance: Keep the service vehicles , shop, and all equipment clean, tidy, and in safe working order.
- Inventory Management: Receive, ship, and document all tire inventory.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a tire technician is required.
- Valid BC Driver's license
- Strong knowledge of tire and wheel systems.
- Experience in customer service, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment for tire repair and installation.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and work in various weather conditions.
- Adherence to all safety protocols.
