Position Summary:
The Inventory Analyst supports, monitors, and operates the distribution centre’s inventory management and compliance program. All supply chain activities from inbound freight scheduling, receipt, inventory management, quality incidents and audits are supported by the analyst.
This role’s mandate is to ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy and standard processes and policies are followed and adhered to through daily tasks and standard operating procedures.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Support the local warehouse supervisor and coordinator team, ensuring that they are properly resourced, trained and organized to maintain the highest levels of assured supply

Responsible for the oversight and administration of Martin Brower’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) from an inventory management perspective

Leads oversight and management of Phase In/Phase Outs, New Product Introductions, Slotting, and Expired Product

Monitors product loss & damage program and ensures all defective products are allocated and coded to responsible party; ensures processes are maintained and followed by all employees

Monitors standard receiving processes for quality and accuracy; including supporting receivers for productivity and accuracy

Liaise with Supply Chain team to optimize throughput, storage, and capacity levels

Leads reconciliation of inventory discrepancies with emphasis on financial performance of the centre

Assists and completes quality audits to drive continuous improvement across operations

Completes entries and monitors and supports supplier quality claims within Martin Brower’s Sync4S quality application

Monitors on hold log and is responsible for ensuring product is tagged and placed in quarantine

In the event of a stock recovery, monitors impacted product and arranges adequate resources and traceability of goods

Uses data and analytics to identify issues and provide recommendations for improvements

Ensures the verification and proper management of the temperature probes used for quality inspections

Completes cycle counting including recounts and lost in cycle count investigation

Verification of code date rotation and checks

Supports the complete inbound carrier experience from appointment scheduling to acceptance of physical product

Management of inbound dock doors

Liaise with external service providers for product disposition

Daily Yard checks
-
Ensure the operations follow all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations

Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years’ experience within a food handling Distribution/Processing System preferably servicing the restaurant trade
