HOERBIGER Canada Ltd (HCL) is seeking an Account Manager for our operations in Fort St. John, BC. HCL provides maintenance and repair services to users of industrial reciprocating compressors, wellheads and engines across multiple industries.

The Account Manager is responsible to maintain and develop existing relationships at all levels within the specific key account and others in the territory. Achieves target revenue of products, services and solutions generated from the assigned accounts. Travel expectation is 50% of time; territory is Fort St John BC.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct market research to identify business opportunities to increase the sales
  • Network and monitor market to identify competitors and to build up appropriate contacts, prospective business opportunities and market database
  • Utilize effective sales strategies to maintain or develop leadership position
  • Project negotiation and execution including coordination, kick-off meetings with customers, installation & commissioning of the product
  • Effective and timely communication to the client on company scope and customer scope
  • Attend to RFQs and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure that proper technically commercial offers are being submitted to clients. Ensure that relevant information and data required for submitting a complete proposal is collected and forwarded to Customer Service;
  • Track projects and follow up of incoming orders in cooperation with other departments (inside Sales, Customer Service, Business Development, Procurement, Finance)
  • Generate periodic reports and statistics regarding sales achievements and prospects against budget;
  • Support all cash collection actions to minimize overdue payments
  • Represent the company at meetings with customers, representatives and other departments
  • Ensure efficient functioning of the workshop to meet Quality, EHS standards and delivery deadlines

General Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Technical College or Equivalent Experience in the field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Gas Gathering industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project, operations or repair/supervision with rotating equipment
  • Minimum two years account management/sales experience
  • Must be customer-focused and results-oriented
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with changing and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • High attention to detail; organized
  • Able to work with diverse groups of people at various levels inside Company and client organizations
  • Prior experience managing projects
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent Influencing and Negotiating skills

Technical/Functional Knowledge Requirements

  • Excellent Industrial / Technical knowledge of the Gas Gathering business
  • Minimum one year experience using an ERP system and reporting tools
  • Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point)
